Name For A Blog About Outdoor Activities With Kids

Posted by melissa c on 250 Points
Hi everyone-
I'm planning to start a blog that focuses on a suburban mama (me) introducing the great outdoors to her kids (hiking mostly but also camping, backpacking, kayaking, biking, rafting, climbing, etc). Some of it will be general info like what to pack, best products to use, etc. but it will be mostly focused on experiences in my home state of NC since that's the area we'll be doing most of our activities!

I've thought of some blog names but could use your help in critiquing them and of course thinking of more options! I'm debating between the name being focused on me (the blogger) or the kids.

Target audience would be those traveling to NC, those who do outdoor activities with their kids and those who want to do outdoor activities with their kids.

Here are some of the ones I've thought of:
- WeeTrek (could this get confused with Star Trek?!)
- WeeTrekkers
- Outdoor Mama
- TrekkerMama
- HikerMama (thought it'd be more than hiking)
- Weefarer (play on wayfarer)
- Little Trailblazers

How about calling it Mother Nature?

First of all I would check google's keyword tool and search google itself first. If your names are already popular that might make it harder for your blog to compete.

There's nothing in your proposed names that suggest geographic location - but that seems important. However, a search of "Carlolina Mama" reveals a competitor. Perhaps you might try something like:

    Wee Trek South
    Wee Trek NC
    Wee Trek Carolina

    (Wee = we)
    Verbal names imply action.

Sorry Jessica, I disagree. "Mother Nature" is banal.

Thanks everyone for the comments so far! I think I'll definitely consider adding something that describes the area I'm talking about. Keep the ideas coming!
