Posted by donalhealy78 on 500 Points
Hi Guys my companty which is a regional airport is looking to introduce a 'members club' for some big organisations in our catchment region. We want to incentivise group travel and also offer discounts for the 6,000+ employees of this organisation. The company is Mayo County Council and im trying to think of a quirky/catchy name for the new initiative ie the Green and Red Flying Club' or something. The inspiration just isbnt hitting me at the minute - any ideas??

    Dear Donalhealy78,

As a citizen of of both the UK and Ireland, my suggestion is
how about something named for Lord Frederick Cavendish?

The Cavendish Club has a nice ring to it, and there's mileage
(no pun intended) to be had in caring for poor, oppressed travelers.

But of greater import is what you will offer.

Donal, time and again people get all bent out of shape over names, logos, and all the shiny packaging and they ignore—often 'til the eleventh hour—the meat of the deal:

Experiences that people will be talking about for months afterward.

Air passengers these days are nipped and tucked to death over the price of this and the price of that, yet little attention is paid to turning travelers into customers and customers into loyal fans who want to return again and again, and who also willingly tell their friends about the stellar experiences you will provide.

    And that's experiences, not features.

You MUST give travelers pleasantly worthwhile, and amazingly comforting lasting mental images of their time with you.

Where do these people travel to? Why do they go there? How often do they fly? What have they told you they'd want to see? How often do you survey people? How swiftly do you put into effect the things people are requesting, so that you can be seen to be acting on the things you discover about your client base?

All these things matter, so take action. Discover. Learn. Assess. Implement. Measure. Use the results in your future marketing.
    Rinse and repeat.

    Do it. Do it now!

    I hope this helps.
