Graphic Design Company Tagline Ideas

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I have solely owned and operated POWELL Design Studio, a small graphic design business for the past five years. I am looking to promote the business more and would like some help coming up with a business slogan. Right now, I focus on print design for other small businesses (with small budgets) and non-profit organizations in rural Vermont, but would like to expand my client base out to larger businesses, in addition. Any creative tagline ideas out there? I have come up with a few ideas myself, but would love any other input others may have! Thank you!!

Thanks Phil for responding! Surprisingly, there are enough local & loyal businesses locally to keep me on my toes! Expansion is something I would like to put more energy into however...

Currently, I work primarily with small businesses just starting out, helping them fine tune how they would like to represent themselves visually. Together we create a logo and develop their business identity (i.e. business cards, stationary, signage, packaging, brochures, direct mailings, advertising etc.)

Does this help your creative process at all? Thanks for putting your time into this!!

If you're doing well with startups, rather than look for larger businesses, why not look for more startups? You can be the "graphic designer for startups," with packages designed specifically for early-stage businesses. You'll have a built-in niche, which will also make it easier to focus your own marketing efforts.

    Jodi,

Thanks for the suggestion. I will put some thought into this. I guess its not really that I am trying to target larger businesses, but don't want to limit myself within my slogan, by specifying only "start-up." Does that make sense?

Rob—Thanks for the suggestions! I really dig "business friendly design." That seems to be the way I would like to head with my tag line... or at least the feel I would like the reader to get from it. I don't imagine myself using the word "design" in the tag line, but love the simplicity of those three words. Thanks so much for our ideas! I would love to hear more if you do come up with others...

Jay— I also like "great branding doesn't have to cost more." I would like to play with the wording a bit, but I like the message it sends—and couldn't be more true to my business!

I was leaning towards either using the word power, something like, "power in print" or playing up on the word "well" being it in the business name, i.e. "design, done well." but after reading some of the above suggestions I am headed in a variety of new directions!

I would love to hear more if anyone has any other ideas! Thank you!!
