Last week I posted a question and asked for help naming our used video games business. The responses were appreciated but we have yet to come up with the perfect name. I'd like to ask for your help again as well as provide you with more info about our business so you have a better understanding of what we are trying to accomplish.
OutGrow OutPlay is our company and we are located in Ottawa/Canada. It is called OutGrow OutPlay because kids ALWAYS out grow or out play their stuff – often before the new has even worn off!
We currently operate well-organized, upscale MEGA Kids Consignment SALE events that target moms with children 0-8. Parents can recycle and quickly $ell the gently used items that their children no longer wear, use or have out grown.
We are branching out and going after the used video game and dvd/blueray market. The Gamers Sale will be a 1-2 day sale event (monthly) and will target males age 16-30. Our target market for gamers is exact opposite of our MEGA Kids SALE hence the need for a new name.
Our concept is unique. Currently you can only trade games for points/credits (in store and online) or sell yourself online via ebay with lots of hassles. We offer Gamers the opportunity to quickly resell the games they have outplayed for cash. Sellers will register online, login, price and enter their games into our inventory. They print their POS bar-coded tags (and attach them) from the comfort of their own home.
A day before the sale starts, sellers drop off their games, we inspect/test them and then we sell their games for them. Gamers earn 75%-80% of what their games sell for. Each gamer sets the price on their games and they are non-negotiable. Gamers pick-up any unsold games after the sale along with their cheque.
We need a catchy name that we can brand that attracts sellers as well as shoppers. Word-of-mouth online marketing is has been our strength in the past. Our goal is to empower gamers to sell their own games, earn more and earn fast CA$H. Our message to shoppers is to buy outplayed video games at fraction of retail price. We came up with a list of over 50 names and I think we are now over thinking it. Here are our top 12 names;
