Need A Tagline For A Savings Publication.

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi,

We are currently rolling out a cross market publication (online and print publication) for savings in targeted markets. The name is Brooklyn Savings (for the name of the borough). The website will have a listing of all the advertisers in the borough and will be backup by a hard copy publication distributed by neighborhoods listing the local advertisers.
Need a tag line that will go for Brooklyn Savings.com, or future sister sites, Queenssavings.com, etc....
If you have anymore questions about the company and services, let me know.

Seems like your brand has potential.

A tagline is based on your competitive positioning strategy. How are you different from your NY based competitors?

Good question, as far as i know, the others don't really offer web support and are more based on zip codes, regardless of community, language or culture. We tend to distinguish ourselves as a more local publication identifying with the language of each community as a bilingual publication.
Even though this will be a monthly publication, we attend to market to local consumers, that is is why we have different issues.

Brookland Savings sounds like a bank. Do you offer coupons or what?

Is Brooklyn Savings, not Brookland, but yes, it may sound something like a bank. So the tagline has to identify Brooklyn Savings as a publication where they can find local advertiser's offers.
We are not limited, we can use coupons, in act we will encourage it, but is really up to the advertisers.

So your guide is really a locally focused shoppers guide, right??
    The Brooklyn, (sorry) Buyers Guide

    Would that work?

Yes, is a local shopping guy, but there is another publication with a similar sounding name as the Brooklyn Buyers Guide.

    Cut Coupons, Not Corners
    Shop Locally. Save Money.

I'm really beginning to like the comments, just holding this out for 2 or 3 more days and close it. Please give me as much feedback as possible.
Even thought I like how cut coupons, not corners sound, I think Shop locally, save money is broader and covers more ground. Would really appreciate that line of comments.

wondering if there could be some play on words with the well known phrase of "Think Global, Shop Local"

    Think Local, Shop Local
    Think Local, Shop Brooklyn
    Think Mobile, Shop Local

    or ...

Got Local (like Got Milk campaign)

    hope this helps your brainstorming.
