Trying To Find A Name For Our Dress Shop...

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
My daughter and i are opening a dress shop and are not coming to an agreement on any names. our names are pauline and stacey. We are going to be selling wedding dresses, prom dresses and formal and evening dresses for discount prices. My husband has suggested dress express, he insists it does what it says on the tin, our store will not do any alterations or anything you simply come in try on dresses and buy it the same day and take it home with you. I dont think dress express sounds very classy though and i would like the store to have a touch of class about it and i would like my clients to feel that although they will be getting a dress for half the price they would pay else where, i still want them to feel that they are getting the five star treatment and i feel the name has a lot to do with that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreiciated.

I often recommend that retail brands use the names of the owners. Putting your name on it implies an ownership committment and pride. Plus there are usually no competitors with the same name in a local area.

So any variation on Pauline & Stacey

    Dresses by Pauline & Stacey
    Pauline & Stacy's Dress Shop
    etc.

Then add the right tagline to reflect "a touch of class" position.
    A Touch of Class
    Only Classy Designs
    Elegant and Fun Designs
    etc.

    Hope this helps,

    Steve
