Name And Slogan For Custom Cakes, Cupcakes, Etc.

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hello!!
I am making business cards to hand out with my custom cakes and need a little help coming up with a name and slogan/tagline. I have been making cakes, cupcakes, pies, cookies, etc. for weddings, birthdays, celebrations, etc. Mostly I have requests for the cakes and cupcakes. My friends have always called me Sunny so I'd love to incorporate that into the name if I can think of something clever and not already taken. I'd love to hear any ideas you may have for names or taglines. Something fun and memorable. Thanks for the help!

    Christine,

If we're going to help you with this, we need a little more information. You've told us all about what you are selling and who you are, but those are not the most important considerations when coming up with a name and a tagline.

Who is your primary target audience? Where do they live? How are they going to find you? Why should they buy from you and not from a competitor? What's unique about your offering?

Do you have a business plan? A marketing plan? It doesn't have to be a heavy-duty document, but it really helps if you think through the key issues BEFORE you name the company and open the doors for business.

And if this is really important for you, maybe you need some professional assistance and input. If you want some recommendations, feel free to contact me using the information in my profile.

    Dear Christine,

Frankly, you had me at the use of the word "cake"!

OK. Michael has some great points. Follow his advice and pay attention to his every point.

Now, in response to your question. How about:

Christine's Sunny Cupcakes: Add Some Sun with a Bite of Yum!

    OR

The Sunny Cupcake Company: same tag line.

Who can help but smile with a tag line along these lines?

True, it might not be perfect, but it ought to at least give you
    food for thought.

    Pun intended.

    I hope this helps.
