Consignment Store Name Using The Word Carousel.

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I would like suggestion on naming a consignment store using the word carousel in the title. This store will be located across from the high school and the street name is Tell. Would like something classy, witty.

    Consider:

    The Carousell:
Roundabout Bargains for Everyone (or All; or Teens; or whomever is your market)

If you're planning advertising or publicity, you can play up the "Brass Ring" aspect as in using a photo w/customers proudly holding 'bargains' up for the camera. Or maybe hold a contest throughout the community with the prize being a set amount allocated to outfits (or household articles) for a complete family (selected by town's social services). The opportunities are endless.

    Best of luck

    Dear nannie9398,

What is the relevance of the name of the school? And is the use of the word carousel connected to something else that you're not telling us?

As I've recently said elsewhere on this forum, unless you already have a list of happy customers who are all madly in love with what you're doing, offering, and providing, before you get too deeply enmeshed in a name, you might want to ask yourself a series of other questions, some of which are as follows:

Where will you sell your products? (Online, bricks and mortar store, affiliates or a mixture?)
How will you fulfill orders and take payment?
    Will you ship online orders?
Might you include shipping or offer if free?
To whom will you sell? (Age, gender, income levels, etc.,.)
Against what competition? (Local, state, regional, national)
    In which market?
    At what price points?
    To achieve what goals?
In what time frame (from point of acceptance by you to disposal)?
    With what packaging?
On what budget to produce and market?
    On what commission?
    With what profit margin?
With what materials other than outlined above?
With what guarantees, liabilities, and assurances?
With what message, benefit, and value?
    With what call to action?
    With what reasons why?
    With what ROI?
With what break even or profit horizon?

Without knowing more about you and your business plan, and if all you're interested in at the moment is a name (which, as I've said elsewhere, unless you can answer the questions above [and others like them], I think might be a mistake), consider:

    The Clothing Carousel
    The Castoff Carousel
    Do Tell Carousel

Better yet, just use your name.

This way, if, two years from now you wind up selling something else, something different, your name will remain a known quantity in the minds of your buyers.

This means your future marketing costs will be lower, overall, because you'll already have a good amount of market presence and market visibility.

    I hope this helps.
