Suggestions For A Cosmetic And Lingerie Line

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am starting a line of cosmetics and lingerie for women between the ages of 17 & up. I want it to be for all women and not just aimed at a particular ethnicity and/or group. Does anyone have suggestions for this line?

The name I am thinking of now is Amores. Thanks in advance

I agree with you Phil. The reason I said 17 & up is because there are women out there that feel they can pull things like that off. I do not want them to feel left out. My initial target is for 18-35. I do not want any lady to feel that my line is not for them.

    P.S. I am a guy also.

Well, I'm a woman, and I agree that 17+ is not a good idea. Narrow it down.

As for the bit about the tired 45-year-old body... I'm in my 40s, and I'm neither tired nor worn out.

Thanks Jodi. That is why I wanted to leave the age group open. There are women that are 40+ that still has great bodies and still want to feel sexy. Notable examples Stacey Dash, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Kidman, etc. I am pretty sure there are many more celebrities and non-celebrities that are 40+ and have great bodies and want to feel sexy. This is why I do not want to put a narrow age limit.

You might want to think about one name for the cosmetics, and a separate name for the lingerie, because you're actually dealing with two unrelated categories. (one is apparel and the other is beauty/skincare)

Amore(s) might work for the lingerie, but not so much for the cosmetics. Are you selling makeup, like eye shadow, lipstick, blush?
And does the lingerie include just foundations? (e.g. bras, panties) Or does it also include sleepwear and loungewear?

Maybe we can be more helpful if you can provide some more information.

P.S. A big Thank You to Jodi. :)

As for now, the cosmetics line is just lotion and body spray. I want to broaden it eventually. The lingerie includes bras, panties, thongs, boy shorts, sleepwear, loungewear, etc. I wanted the same name for both so I could open under one trademark.

If you're designing the lingerie I'd use your own name and make that the brand. If not, Amores would work, but Bare Essentials,
or something comparable, might work better for both the lingerie and the body lotions/sprays - especially if you plan to extend the cosmetic product line.

Amores is a bit of an abstract reference - my first thought it was a typo for Amore. To avoid confusion, why not use "Erotes" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erotes_%28mythology%29) - the plural of eros?

Texting Abbreviations would give you a niche ...way more than dead language moniker.
