Need A Name For A Regional Meat Marketing Project

Posted by orla on 500 Points
HI there, would appreciate a fresh take on coming up wiht a name that reflects an authentic, rural based, wholesome meat marketing project (bringing together farmers, abaittors & butchers) to promote local meat. We have played with Meat Matters, Butchers Block, Butchers Brand but they are too non descript.

Thanks for this. Agree, a tagline would be very important. The name target that the name needs to attract is the meat buying consumer who are being bombarded by large supermarkets & price discounting.

    hi oria,

i am one of those meat buying consumer, and while i have been bombarded by those big supermarkets with their price discounting offers, (and tried them mind you) i realized that a great piece of meat is something i can only get from the specialty shop, with the resident butcher who knows me by name, understands that i prefer rib-eye when i am entertaining guests, and tenderloin when i just happen to walk in dressed in my gym gear. i am serious about my protein, and serious about my meat.

you've already come up with great names to start with. i'd be curious with "Meaty Matters" (just changing meat to meaty) and a tagline that represents what your unique proposition to consumers are. i.e.

    "Meaty Matters,"
Your local butcher's take on why great meat matters in healthy eating

    or

    "Mighty Meaty Meet"
Everything you need to know about great meat and eating healthy.

    good luck!

Thansk for replies. Want to get a very individual and original wording (somewhat concerned that Butchers Block and Meat Matters have been used in other places) that really shouts out wholesome, local, authentic. Please help !!!

Meat Matters is my choice. It sends the message to your group -- of what matters. What about Butcher's Blog?

    What about "Good Meats"?

I second the ideas for hosting a local newspaper column and definitely add a tagline.

Nearly there, going to keep this open for a few more days. The approach to use the words Masters or Guild in the tagline is definately the way we think we should go - it shows the expert knowledge of the sector, respected and a cut above! Can you come up with a version of same ? Many thanks, really appreciate your efforts on our behalf
