Need Opinion On Tagline For Art Photography

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
Hi,

I'm starting a photography business to sell prints of my fine art photography (landscape, cityscape, seascape, abstract). My business name is 'my name photography'. From what I've read, this works well for photographers. I don't do portraiture or events, I sell the images that I create.

I came up with a few taglines and would like opinions. I'm willing to go in a different direction if these don't look like they'll work. I'm only attached to making it clear that I am not an event or studio photographer.

Option 1 - Capturing the art that surrounds us

Option 2 - Revealing the art of our surroundings

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    Phil,

Actually my name is very easy (Suzanne Scott) so that won't be a problem. Thanks for your input!

How about tightening it up to be "Capturing the beauty that surrounds us" or even simpler, "Capturing The Surrounding Beauty"?

    Hi, Suzanne,

I, too, like the "capturing" one. It has personality, and shows you believe in the artistic style behind photos and that you find inspiration in everyday things. Is that accurate?

Were you thinking of using this tagline mainly for your website and brochures/postcards, or also biz cards? Other places? It might be a bit long for biz cards so if that's a concern, here are other, shorter ideas:

    Capturing everyday art
    Capturing natural art
    Revealing everyday art

Go with your gut. Best regards,
    KMH

    Hi KMH,

Yes! That's exactly what I was going for! Sorry, I get a bit excited because this is my passion and I feel really lucky to be able to share it.

Though I'd mainly be using it for my website I would also like to use it on business cards but am not dead set on it. I keep going back to my original 'capturing' one. I think I may use that but keep it separate from my logo so that I don't have to worry about tiny font. For some reason that 'capturing' tagline stays in the forefront.

Thanks for taking the time to post.

Thanks for the responses. After my post here and also asking a small group of friends and family it looks like everyone likes the 'Capture' option best. I also took the advice to go with my gut and my gut wants that one.
