Tanning & Pamper Business Suggestions Please

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello, I have a beauty salon already called Looks Beautiful which offers a wide range of the usual beauty treatments, for example: waxing, manicures, pedicures, massage, facials, spray tanning etc.

I'm wanting to diversify my business slightly by doing more in the way of Pamper Parties & Spray Tan Parties. In these instances we would go to the clients homes, instead of them coming to us.

I want to use a different name from the salons one but 1 that encompasses the tanning & pampering aspect. I have come up with Tanned & Pampered.

Has anyone got any other suggestions?

Thank you for your time.

I kind of like "Tanned & Pampered." It tells what you do in a way that may even be seen by your target audience as a benefit of its own. (Doesn't everyone want to be "tanned and pampered?")

You might also want to consider a tagline that extends the benefit to an expression of how the target audience will feel (about themselves) after they've experienced the service you provide. Will they feel better about how they look? Will they carry themselves with more poise and self-confidence? Will they be better partners/friends/lovers? Will the people close to them respect/admire/love them more? Etc.

You might wish to add "Delivered" or "To You" to your proposed name (as in: "Tanned & Pampered Delivered") since one of the key benefits is bringing the party to them.

One problem with "Tanned and Pampered": Your target market will be mostly middle to upper class women, at least 25 years old (probably older depending on your price point.)

This group will more often than not have children. My first thought was that, to a mother, Pampered connotes a diaper. I asked a few women and they said the same thing without me prompting them.

    Just something to consider...

Thanks for the answers so far :-) I should have said in my original post that I'm in the UK so some of what has been said wouldn't necessarily be applicable.

Velocity Media, I see where you're coming from regards Pampering/name of diapers (nappies over here, lol) but 'pampering' is quite normal to go in the context of my business. 'Pamper Parties' is quite a common phraseology (sp?)
