Help Us Rename Our Newest Neighborhood

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Our newest community in Longmont, CO is near the Ute Creek Golf course, on a farm property, and is unique. With five home types, parks, amphitheater and fountains, it is much different than our competitors. We are looking for a neighborhood name for the 78 acres of 227 homes, which are affordable, energy efficient and quite innovative in land planning and design. The current name is Provenance, which means origin or source. It was originally chosen by the owner, but I feel we can do better.

What should we rename "Provenance"?

I lived in Longmont from 89 to 07. I still have a rental there and 3 of my 4 daughters live there.

Longmont braggin rights are the view of the mountains-- especially the Twin Peaks. And Geese-- as in the "Painted Geese" competition (like Santa Fe's Painted Ponies??". The sunsets are golden. The mountains never look the same. Colorado is the sunniest state in the US- -beating out even Hawaii.

The poster knows this, but this might help others come up with ideas.

I love the word Enclave when it comes to premier properties.

    The Golden Goose

What about Estates? We developed acres in Longmont with the name Willow Creek Estates. Our creek had Willows along the Creek.

    Ute Creek Estates

I like the Farm at Ute Creek

I know you think Elmore Farm is folksy, but its a nice story. Maybe a variation to keep the history. I am sure residents showing off their home will talk about the history of their area.

Not being a linguist, but knowing that names which connote historical perspective have long been attractive when naming real estate projects, consider using something from the Ute language that speaks to he many wonderful ideas you've already tossed to us. For example, a local CRE project was named Blue Back Square--named for Webster's first dictionary (he was a famous native of this town). The name was lampooned; but in this finicky, questionable CRE market times, it has more than thrived!

    Best,
