Use Of "accredited Or Certified" In A Tag Line

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Is it appropriate to use the word "Accredited" or "Certified" in your tag line to point out the fact that you have received such designation as a result of formal training in your field? Or would that just appear pompous?
Thank you!

If it is regarded as being worthwhile then I would use the words for sure.

The one that springs to mind is the accreditation that you can get with Microsoft. I know that if I am looking for someone to do some work in this area, the fact that they are accredited or certified is important.

If you have to work to achieve the accreditation, then brag about it!

Thanks for the response. I, too, tend to look for certified or accredited individuals and find it helpful when I see that somewhere in their website. Great point!

I think you should very much promote expertise and accreditations when they help differentiate you from other professionals and highlight strengths the customer may be looking for. A Mac certified specialist can break from the pack of generic PC and Mac support people for instance. Many people look for specialists instead of generalists and highlighting your efforts in a specific area I think is very valuable.

Sometimes A Seal, Stamp or School Logo on your page will do it also.

This will leave room in your TagLine for something more!
