Your Professional Suggestions On A Brand Name

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
Hi every one!

Here today I'm giving you all a name for a Juice pack. Please give your suggestion in a critical way.

The Name is "sumrus".

I give you the meaning; the word sumrus is derived from two different words. In arabic word sumar means "fruit" and rus in different languages means "essence of any thing" more clearly it means the juice or nectar. so by togethering these words one word makes "sumrus".

More over it is considering for one of an Asian market from where the words derived.

If you sound it well please also suggest a tag line.....

and what you think about it:

1. Think fresh drink Sumrus........
2. drink sumrus feel fresh......
3. Go with the freshness of sumrus.....

Thanks.

    Hi,

Sumar is also a female arab name and if you say Rus means juice.. combining the two words might not sound good because it will be Juicy Lady Arab..

Just a precaution, because your product name may turn off potential Arabic customers...

    Thanks

For something as important as the brand name of a consumer product, you really owe it to yourself to research it with your primary target audience. The way the name sounds to us is totally irrelevant, as we are not the people who need to understand the name or buy the product. And most of us don't speak/understand Arabic, so our reactions to this name will be totally useless for your purposes.

Said to the Anglo ear it sounds like 'Some Are Us' correct? Similar to -Toys R Us.

    Any legal problems there?
