Name For A Graphic Design Company

My wife is a designer and now she starts her own design studio in Samara, Russia. Her web-site in Russian is available at www.latysheva.ru. Now she wants to create an international version of the web-site to attract international customers, targeting mostly small and mid-size businesses. She lived in US for 5 years and believes good design is truly without boundaries. She also knows some Russian design companies that successfully work with clients from the West.

Her specialization is graphic design and illustration primarily. She will probably do some web design in the future. Her competitive advantage she believes is quality design at moderate price, and quality of service for the client (she works with client very closely to understand their needs and make her design work for the customer). She tries to create clean, non-aggressive, non-obtrusive designs that fits well into environment yet attracts attention using non-standard design elements and compositions.

In Russia she works under the name “Design studio of Yuliya Latysheva”. For international market it sounds awkward, we believe. There is an idea to use YULA Design (YULA being an acronym YUliya LAtysheva) as an international company name. Other ideas are: Y-Design (Y is the first letter of her name), iDesign, Visual Design, IDEA Design, Lege Artis Design (from Latin for done perfectly), Perfecta, Creativo, Bright White (as a sheet of paper open for new ideas), Blue Ribbon Design (blue ribbon being an award in competition), Magica Design, BDA (Bright Design Agency), AgencyCreative, Blaze Design, Powerhouse, Luna Nova (new Moon symbolizes a birth of something new).

Research showed that small design studios use all sorts of crazy names (to underline creativity, I suppose) and it looks like they compete mostly on quality of their work (and probably ties with their clients where she working remotely has a disadvantage). So is the name really not so important for a design company?

So far we liked YULA Design as being abstract yet with some personal roots. Does this name have any negative associations? What do you think about other names? Do you have any other suggestions? What tagline can be used?

    sounds good to me...
    can be something like:
    YULIYA GRAFIX
    "Magical transformations"

    LATYSHEVA CREATIONS
    "Watch your ideas come to life"

    Yula for me is a good name, nice song, easy to design, with personnal explanation.
    By the way, you can try this : https://www.thebrandgenerator.com, wich is a tool (and only a tool, not a magic thing), but a professional tool, the same as used by naming agencies.
    Simple to use and clever this software is based on marketing positionings, powered by semantic fields associated.
    It works with iPhone and iTouch.
