Name For An Employee Newsletter

Posted by Anonymous on 375 Points
We are a very large Housing Authority with over 1200 employees. We are very keen on using our acronym: CMHA ==> Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority.

It is a bimonthly newsletter that is all about the employees and keeping everyone current on the news/opportunities/people of the Authority.

We are a quasi-local government agency funded by HUD that houses 30,000 low income persons through "Section 8" and Low Income Public Housing programs. We have as many employment disciplines as would a city government, i.e., police department, social services dept, IT, construction dept, sanitation and transportation, legal, mechanical, roofing and systems trades as well as administrative.

We have been using CMHA Update, but that is old and unimaginative. I was thinking of "House Notes" but that was rejected. I am totally out of ideas and time for this venture and thought fresher minds might better prevail. Thanks in advance.

The problem is a lack of trust. We have asked the employees to go through this exercise a few years ago, but nothing ever came of it--new administration. Unfortunately, we have an apathetic employee base and would get minimal cooperation. But, thanks for the idea, under other circumstances, I would do just that.

    CMHA seems so bureaucratic.

You guys are right--it is a large bureaucratic monster that is aptly placed at the foot of the crooked river! What can ya do? Gotta work until Plan B takes off!

I like CMHA Insider. A Lot. I was wondering if we can relate the "house" analogy.

My sister, an attorney, did not like "House It Going!" Ha Ha.

    But thanks guys!

    Hi,
Try this apps for Iphone, https://www.thebrandgenerator.com
Its a real professional tool to generate (intelligent) brand names.
For exemple, you put your key concept in the field (Maybe CMH or CONNEC ), and after you select which kind of positioning you want to have for your brand . For you, maybe PROXIMITY positioning can be OK for you or STATUS, or CULTURAL) . Or try others. (there is 22 positioning in pro version)
The apps will generate semantic items added to key concept, wich express the positioning you choosed.
So it's provide you a list of ORIGINAL names, linked with your business et what is the positioning of it.
This apps is the same as used by the Brand Naming Agencies ! It is developed by a 20 years experienced prof in naming.
And if you don't have an Iphone oe an Itouch, ask a friend !
