Name/tagline For Handmade Shop

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I'm looking for a name and maybe tagline for a new business, making and selling a wide variety of handmade items. These would primarily be sold online (etsy.com), but once I get a good inventory I'll be attending art and craft fairs in New England. In a name, I'm looking for something creative, possibly a bit whimsical or maybe slightly elegant, or anywhere between really. All I'm coming up with are cheesy names. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sample products:
solar heating units and lights
knitted, crocheted or sewn clothing and costumes (hats, scarves, slippers, tops, bottoms)
soaps and shampoos
dyed or printed shirts
hammocks, kayaks
nonperishable food items (granola mixes/bars, sauces, drink mixes)
toys/puzzles (such as tangrams or stuffed animals)
rebuilt or restored bicycles
jewelry (beaded, metal or porcelain pendants, chains, wire or thread designs)
rugs, lampshades, ornaments, pinatas
cat toys

Tell us about your target audience. Who are the people who would buy this stuff? What do you know about them?

The objective of the name and tagline should be to communicate the benefit they'll receive when they do business with you. What IS that benefit? What do they need? How are they getting it today? What makes you different from, and better than, all the other vendors with handmade items?

Simply looking for a name that's somewhere between whimsical and elegant doesn't give us a lot of direction. One person's elegant might be meaningless to another.

Start the naming process by really understanding and communicating who is in your primary target audience. If you can do that, we can probably come up with a great name (and tagline).

After you've answered the above, think of a collective descriptor that sounds unique.
