Need A Tagline To Market Parent University

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Parent University is a concept new to our district, but has been in other areas for quite some time.
We are starting with four strands:
Parenting Awareness
Health and Wellness
Helping Your Child Learn in the 21st Century
Personal Growth and Development
There are 4 to 7 courses in each strand offered at six various locations throughout the city. The sites will change each semester.
We have courses geared toward English language learners, fathers, financial literacy, cooking healthy, and recognizing ADHD.
Participants will receive a certificate upon completion.
Our targets are parents and guardians in our district, with children attending or ready to attend our public schools.
Unlike many programs, there are no income limitations associated with Parent University, and the entire program is completely free.
I'm hoping our tagline can convey some of what we are, as well as generate some excitement.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you very much!

    Lou Ann - You've shared what you're offering, but not why someone would want to attend the program. What problem/difficulty of your target audience do you solve? That's the key benefit you want to wrap your tagline around. People won't simply take the classes because they're free or they want a certificate to put on the wall.

    I hadn't heard of Parent University until now, so I did a brief search online to understand better what you're hoping to achieve. Based on that, here are some ideas:

    * ...Because Your Child Didn't Arrive With A Manual
    * Teaching The Skills To Parent With Confidence
    * Lead Better By Example
    * Parent Proactively, Not Reactively.

    Jay, thank you so much for your feedback.
    As you can tell, marketing is NOT my strong point, so I truly appreciate your time and guidance.
    I really like 2, 3 and 4. I don't suppose you can think of a way to combine them cohesively?
    I'm seeing "Be the Parent You Were Meant to Be", but again, I'm not a marketing person. What do you think of that, or does it jar something else to you?
    Thanks again!
