Need Help Selecting Url's For New Businesses

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points

I am looking at starting an online marketing blog as well as a consulting website. I purchased a few domains and want to get everyone's feedback on them

For the marketing blog I purchased

brandsareforcattle.com

The concept is that with respect to marketing strategy. The idea is that everyone just follows the herd and you need to break free to create lasting success.

For my consulting site

packagingconsumers.com

Ideally this site would focus on the CPG industry and provides creative and stategy for busnesses.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

The branding one has a nice ring, but is hard to read.

(Aside: when you show your URL, capitalize them to be easier to "read": BrandsAreForCattle.com and PackagingConsumers.com)

BrandsAreForCattle.com reminds me of Jonathan Salem Baskin's book Branding Only Works On Cattle. If you haven't already read his book, you might enjoy it given your "angle".

PackagingConsumers.com is easy to remember, so that's a plus. I wonder why you didn't combine the two domains to further strengthen your "brand". Having two reasons for people to come to your website is better than one...
