Looking For A Good Bbq & Grill Name For Biz

We currently run the Contenders Choice Batting Cages but are adding a BBQ & Grill there. Most of the tables will be outside, in what we are calling the "Dugout", a 25 x 40 foot cyclone fence enclosed eating area. We will have limited seating inside so using the term Restaurant or Café won't work. We will offer BBQ, burgers and lots of home style food choices.

Any help with a name would be great!

    Before you fall in love with a name, order signage, etc., better check with domain register and United States Patent and Trademark office to see if it can be legally used. First rule of thumb is - if it seems too easy, the name is most likely is blocked.

    It would be an expensive mistake not to do this.

    I am not an attorney and this is not legal advice, but I think the risk you would take by using a name that someone else thinks they have rights to is minimal ... unless there is a restaurant in/near your city with the exact same name.

    Of course you'd like to "own" your name, but it's not exactly like you expect to create a national business in which the name/domain is critical to your success. Besides, if someone complains you can always just add your city name (or your own name) to the company name.

    It's never wrong to get good legal advice. I'm not suggesting you be irresponsible about this. I'm only noting that this is probably not the most important issue on your list of things to worry about.

    Maybe the answer is to go to your local town hall (or whatever it's called where you are) and register a "fictitious name" -- the d/b/a you'd use. That way you've done your part to notify the world of the name you intend to use and deter any copy-cat who would use your name locally.

    Grand Slam Grill

    When I read your post the first thing that came to mind was "Grand Slam BBQ & Grill" then I scrolled down and saw that someone had already suggested it. So how about the following? All can end with "BBQ & Grill" or "Grill"

    Home Run BBQ & Grill
    The Home Plate - BBQ & Grill <<<(My Favorite)
    The Concession Stand - BBQ & Grill
    Major Leagues - BBQ & Grill
    Bambino's - BBQ & Grill
    Louisville Sluggers BBQ & Grill
    Baby Ruth's Place
    All Star's BBQ & Grill

    There is really a lot you can choose from. Just use your creative mind. But I would definitely associate the name with baseball.
