Start Up Bakery Needs Name

Starting a bakery in middle TN, featuring cupcakes as our featured item, but also cakes, pies and cookies with a soup of the day feature. We are targeting our business on homemade goodies that your Grandma made, all fresh, high quality ingredients.

    Dear Kit1129,

    You had me at cupcakes!

    There is nothing better than a decent bakery (my neighbourhood does not have one, alas) and there's nothing better than memories of grandma's baking (that is, if she could bake)!

    Normally I urge (some might say IMPLORE) people to avoid
    names that are "catchy" because catchiness is not a selling strategy. I think names need to instantly telegraph what it is
    that the business does, which is not the same as being catchy
    —but a name must stick in people's heads.

    Here are a few suggestions:

    Kit's Bakery: The Best Darn Cakes You'll Ever Taste!
    Cupcake Heaven: The Best Darn Cupcakes You'll Ever Taste!
    Grandma's Kitchen: The Best Darn Cakes You'll Ever Taste!
    Better Than Grandma's: The Best Darn Cakes You'll Ever Taste!
    Don't Tell Grandma: The Best Darn Cakes You'll Ever Taste!
    Cakes To Die For: The Best Darn Cakes You'll Ever Taste!
    Naughty But Nice: The Best Darn Cakes You'll Ever Taste!
    Custom Cakes: The Best Darn Cakes You'll Ever Taste!
    Kit's Kitchen: The Best Darn Cakes You'll Ever Taste!
    Tennessee Kit's: The Best Darn Cakes You'll Ever Taste!
