I Need A Name For A Blog And Book (same For Both)

The idea is healthy a healthy lifestyle, in particular food. Food is an expresson of creativity. It is essential to life, so why not have fun with it. It involves a lifestyle, health and social. Want to express healthy cooking/food as a lifestyle, enjoyable and fun, geared to the 20 -30 year old target market. By starting to eat and live healthy now, they avoid some of the unhealthy pitfalls later, plus for this group it should be fun to eat and be healthy. A healthy fun lifestyle by eating the right food. Food is the essense of the book and blog. Need a name for the blog and the book ofwhich both are the same.

    One of Brent's suggestions brought to mind the phrase:

    Eat To Live / Live To Eat (similar, but very different motivations)

    Other ideas:

    I'd suggest "You Are What You Eat" but it's been done, as have numerous variations of the same. I know because I checked.

    So, domain name wise, how about:

    ThreeMonthsOnTheHips.com (currently available through www.namecheap.com).

    It ties in with the phrase "A Moment on The Lips", which, sadly
    for you, is a domain name that's already taken.

    However, title-wise it works as a book and as a blog name.

    I like some of the answers I am getting, however not quite what I am looking for. Since my target audience is young educated 20-30 year olds, I am looking for something cool, catchier, that appeals to this crowd. Also more of an urban feel to it as well. The appeal is a healthier lifestyle with food being the focus. What I have got so far doesn't appeal to the young audience. I need something more glitzier, engaging, fresh, young, hip, urban. Target is college educated professionals in the 20-30 year old range. Almost the MTV crowd, but a little older. Sophisticated, making enough money to go to the health food stores to purchase food, or get a club membership, or travel, or enjo the better things in life, just starting out. Does this help. Also something short easy to remember for a blog, website, book that appeals to this aduience. Thanks, i appreciate the answers I have received so far.

    Regardless of the age of your audience, people have needs.

    This means that what you're looking for in a name isn't really the point. The thing that REALLY matters is what is your audience looking for?

    As descriptors "cool" and "catchy" are meaningless. Think about it.
    Think about it long and hard. Do they imbue value? Do they drip benefits? Do they shout of stellar results? Again, think about it.

    None of this is designed to argue with you. I'm not telling you anything
    to make you look small. I'm telling you this because it WORKS.

    The only way to really know what appeals to your crowd, which, by
    the way WILL extend into teens and out into people in their mid 40s,
    is to ASK them.

    I'll say this again, and no doubt I'll go to my grave with these words
    on my lips: slick is not a selling strategy. Not in the long run.

    As a descriptor, any term that calls itself edgy or urban has nothing of value to hang its hat on.

    Those terms are as useless today as their counterparts from the 1990s were when things were bad, hyped, slick, and hip; and on down through the decades. All kinds of words designed to sell have come and gone, they've been cool, right on, and where it's at daddy-o but when it comes to meeting a need and solving a problem, they were and are all meaningless.

    Your appeal is to a healthier lifestyle with food being the focus?

    Good. So why not just SAY so?

    "What I have got so far doesn't appeal to the young audience."

    OK, fine.

    But based on whose opinion? Just yours? If you've asked your demographic, then let's hear what they have to say. But until then,
    if the opinion is yours alone, you're missing the point of having a title that communicates and you're missing the point of the way people search for the things they need.

    This means one thing. Alas, it means that you don't matter.

    Whether you, (or any business owner come to think of it) like it
    or not, when it comes to meeting the needs of your audience or customers, and when it comes to offering astonishing value and incredible value, YOU ARE IRRELEVANT!

    What you think does not matter. And at the end of this contribution
    there's a little challenge to prove that I don't matter. But more on this later.

    When it comes to names, what matters is the problem of your audience and how you place or package your solution in front of that audience in such a way that your values and benefits TRUMPET salvation!

    You are not in the food and lifestyle business. You may think you are but you are not. In the long run you need to be in the information collecting business so that you can continue to put your message in front of your audience, week in, week out.

    The value to you of your customer is in their life time value, not just in the sale of one book, one time, to one person. You create this value OVER TIME and you do this by connecting with deeply felt needs as your relationship with your customer builds.

    You need something glitzier, more engaging, fresh, young, hip, and urban? How many glitzy, engaging, fresh, young, hip, urban people do you KNOW?

    Your customer is not Paris Hilton and probably doesn't ASPIRE to be. Your customer wants (no matter how what their age is), your customer wants to know what's in the relationship with you for them.

    They want to know the answers to the following questions:

    1. Why should they give a crap about your blog or your book, let alone give you their time or their money?

    2. Why you are bothering them?

    3. What's in it for them?

    4. And they want to know the answer to "So what?"

    So, here's the deal. Here's where you can prove me wrong.

    If you can tell me how names that are hip, glitzy, urban, cool, fresh, or young answer ANY of those questions, I'll give you a list of hip, glitzy, urban, cool, fresh, and young names.

    I'll do this because you will have proved to me that what I think doesn't matter, that you are right, and that your audience only cares about glitz.

    Sound fair?

    Again, I'm not saying any of this to pick a fight. I'm trying to help you.
