Know-How Exchange : Taglines/Names

Dear dianeaguilar1,

"Catchy" is not a selling strategy. Simply tell people what you do:

Example: "(Your Name) In Home Pet Care".

That's it.

When people are looking for your service they want something that clearly communicates what it is they're looking for—they're NOT looking for "catchy" anything.

The more the thing or service that people are looking for connects with your business name the easier it becomes for your customers to find you and to remember you.

There is no need to overcomplicate things, because when you do, you make life harder, both for your customer (because you introduce doubt about what it is you offer), and for you because your selling proposition is not clear.

Simply state: this is what you do, this is what the service does for your client, and what you want people to do next: call you, visit your website, etc.,.

This also gives you scope to expand later, again, using the same technique: your name, what you do, or what you offer.

No room for doubt. No possibility of confusion. Just a simple, clear, effective message.
