Help With A Website Name For Jewelry Company

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am soon opening a website to sell my homemade metal stamped custom jewelry. It is made with sterling silver and copper (mainly necklaces) handstamped with your choice of name/word. I would like something catchy yet memorable. Thanks.

    Dear Candice,

I'm in the process of trademarking the following six word marketing phrase.

"Catchy is not a selling strategy"™

No name alone, catchy or otherwise will attract people to your
website and compel them to buy from you. The sooner you grasp
this concept the better for you and your business model.

"Catchy is not a selling strategy"™ Nor is hip, glitzy, with it,
urban, edgy, retro, chic, cool, now, modern, fresh, young, or any variation thereof.

It's not the catchiness of your name that will win people over, it's
what the jewelry you offer does or could do for someone, or it's
what the silver necklace brings to someone's life. The name alone
    will not line your pockets.

There must be one anchor for the products you offer and that must
be the fact that your jewelry is handmade and that each piece is
unique. in today's high paced, mass produced world, something
that's handmade is valuable because it stands out.

Make your products connect to people's deeply felt needs and compulsions but resist the temptation to hang a fancy name on
your door just because it sounds nice.

You want people to remember you and the things you do and make,
    not your catchy name.

Just tell people what you do, show them what you offer, and tell them what they need to do in order to get the things you offer. that's it.

Name: "Candice Fedler: Memorable Handmade Jewelry".

I hope this helps. Good luck to you.

    PhilGrisolia=Results - thanks . . . I like it, I will give it some thought!

Gary Bloomer - you are correct, I want the pieces I make to be special and meaningful to each person in its own way. This is the reason I started this business. Instead of catchy I should have used words like special, unique, meaningful, etc . . . And it would be great if the name reflected this.

    Any other ideas?

Valeri Kireitchik - My jewelery is mainly made with sterling silver bars or discs with a name; child, spouse, best friend . .. a special word; love, hope faith . .. or a date; anniversary, birth . . . that is meaningful to the buyer. I believe it is for women of all ages. It can be a gift or for yourself. I also add beads, or charms to the piece. Since it is mostly silver or copper it can be worn with anything.

Thank you all for your ideas!
