I Need A Fun Name For A Gift Shop In Lexington Ky

Posted by Anonymous on 25 Points
I am opening a gift shop in Lexington, KY. It is going to be a fun this and that type of shop, but will also feature some artists hand carved boxes, tables, photography and art work. The shop is within our Furniture store, same entrance, but separate room. Although I will have some higher priced art, there will also be affordable jewerly and girly type of things in it. The name I have come down to is "Flair" the tag line being "because everyone needs a little flair in their life" Not sure if this encompasses everything though, ideas?

If I saw your proposed store name and tagline, I'd have absolutely no idea what you're selling. Clothing? Beauty or etiquette tips? A felt-tip marker emporium?

Since your store's name doesn't say a thing about what you sell, to who, or why they'd want to drop in, you need to make it much more obvious. As a minimum, I suggest tweaking your tagline to something like, "Handmade Gifts by Local Artists".

I am now caught between Flair...a little bit of everything or This and That...specialty gifts and more. I like the shortened T & T, but there is a beauty supply shop with that name here in town. Most of the gift shops that have fun, different stuff, here in lexington are the first name of the owner...i.e. Peggy's, or De Dee's I didn't want to go the same route, but wanted something fun, that would make people want to come in.
