B2b Company Newsletter--need Catchy Name!

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I am kicking off 2010 with a company newsletter that will go out to our top prospects, resellers, given out at tradeshows and our clientbase and I need a great name for it!

We deal a lot with companies that are collecting data in field, so field workers are our audience. We also deal with the office GIS employee, so they are our audience too. We develop software that increases field to office workflow efficiency. Our software is ideal for oil and gas, municipalities, railroads, electric or water/wastewater utilities, natural resources, government or anyone interested in collecting and managing large amounts of field data.
Any ideas?

    Dear Victoria,

    "B2b Company Newsletter--need Catchy Name!"

    No. You don't.

You need a name that is significant, one that resonates, and one that connects with a deeply felt compulsion of your target audience.

Why? Because alas, Catchy is Not a Selling Strategy™

The only one buying "catchy" is you but you are not your target audience. So just tell people what you offer. make it clear what the publication will do for them. And tell them how to get hold of their own copy.

You hit on an answer in your question "Field to Office". Any one that does what you offer knows what this means and it has an instant connection.

    I hope this helps.
