Who's your target? What's your specialty?

Otherwise, there are lots of plays on words like:
Plenty of fish in the sea
    No bait and switch here.
    Reeling in the best catch
    Fresh home of the day

I could go on, but they begin to sound corny unless they are truly tied to what you do.

    Dear TLTraders,

No one cares about your client's name. They care about the deal, the end result, and the best price.

They care about what, where, and when. They care about themselves. They care about their families and co workers, and about their businesses and customers.

Your Mr. Mrs. Ms. or Miss Fish? They're irrelevant. Meaningless.

To whom does this real estate agent sell? Where? In what market?
In what price bracket? High end? Retail? Rentals? Offices? Condos? Houses? Commercial? Central business district? Suburban? City? Country? Domestic? Overseas? Holiday and vacation rentals?

Answer these questions and come back with more information.

Then we'll talk about tag lines.

    Why?

Because you must market, you must position yourself and align
your message with the prospect's most compelling self interests.

Any business owner that cannot or will not do this will suffer, then
they'll moan that no one's buying.

    I hope this helps.

Nobody cares about your last name but you. Your prospective clients want to know what's in it for them to deal with you. If you insist on a focus on your name, you'll undermine your own credibility and relevance to their needs.

When's the last time you heard about a real estate buyer/seller picking a realtor based on their name?

Re-read the responses from Phil and Gary. They're giving you good advice.

And what makes you any different from the dozens of other realtors in your market? What is is about you and your service that will set you apart from the crowd? THAT is what people will remember.

    Dear TLTraders,

Let's say I'm house hunting on your patch and I come across your service.

Why will I remember you for having lived in the area that you sell in for 20 years?

And why does your having built five custom homes for you make your remarkable?

Why do I, as your client, care about these pieces of information?
