Know-How Exchange : Taglines/Names

What is it you want the tagline to do for you? What are you trying to communicate? Or are you concerned that the name of the business doesn't do much for you, and you want a tagline to save the name?

It seems to me that your online portfolio is your best calling card. Those images should continue to be the focus of your communication.

If you're really hung up on getting a tagline, in addition to helping us understand how you'll use it and what you expect it to do for you, give us some idea about your primary target audience. Who are they? Where do they live? How/when do they seek out professional photographers? How do they decide who to hire? How do they judge performance and decide to recommend a photographer (or not)?

The more we know about your target audience, the better job we'll be able to do for you in coming up with a great tagline. Be specific. Narrow and focused target audiences are easier less costly to reach. You can always expand more broadly once you have honed the marketing formula.

Well, I don't really think the business name does much... so i'd like to give the name a little more "pop" with the tagline...
My target audience is mothers to be, or mothers of children.. and also high school seniors.

something short and sweet, but with more zing... i just need that "zing"...
