`name For Cider Mill Adding Hot Dogs And Ice Cream

Posted by jsurveya on 250 Points
Have cider mill business in well known local 100 year old historic landmark building currently called Paint Creek Cider Mill open 10 weeks in the fall season. Want to expand into 40 seat indoor/outdoor hot dogs and ice cream diner open from 11am - around 9pm 9 months year, spring, summer, fall. Hotdogs, fries, chili cheese fries, chicken strips, shakes, dipped ice cream, couple tacos, chili, soup - easy fast food, big portions, reasonable prices, various bakes goods, bottled water, juices, smoothies. No dishes or silverware, just all paper products. Everyone in the county and beyond knows the "Paint Creek Cider Mill". Beautiful outdoorsy setting on the Paint Creek in affluent suburban sprawl area but not on main road, about 1 mile out of town surrounded by upscale residential subdivisions which will be main clientelle along with various commercial traffic in the area. Dilemna is how to incorporate the new food products into the existing Paint Creek Cider Mill name. This is a very well known existing business and I am afraid to eliminate the Paint Creek Cider Mill wording in the name of the hot dog and ice cream diner. But all efforts are turning into nothing but a long tongue twister that will be difficult to utilize in advertising. I need to start my mass mailing campaign soon as I am going to saturate the area with coupons, flyers, post cards, etc. in order to open in the spring May of this year. This is similiar to what I have in mind if you add more ice cream and no breakfast. https://www.wienery.com/index.html
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Phil and thanks for your response.
I like your idea "Eatery at Paint Creek Cider Mill", but am concerned that the ice cream message will not be utilized as I expect ice cream to be major revenue. Also is there a better word than Eatery? Should I be concerned that "Eatery" doesn't define the food experience? What about some of those catchy crazy names you see on these diners? The Weinery, Dawg Day Afternoon, SuperDawg, Weiner's Circle, Top Dog. Is that important or possible? Am I getting too greedy in the name to be everything to everyone?

Hey Phil - so you are saying either the luncheon name, or the ice cream name as trying to get both along with Paint Creek Cider Mill will be a bit too much.
Although this will never be a fancy restaurant, if I do decide to add additional menu items such as burgers, will a hot dog name create any perceived food limitations with the potential customers?
Franks-A-Lot and Weiner Take All are both great names but are already taken.

I think I would keep it simple:

Paint Creek Cider Mill and Diner (or whatever word would encompass your offerings)

or if you can have two apparent storefronts:

    Paint Creek Cider Mill
    Paint Creek Diner

You can brand the hot dogs, ice cream, etc. as featured menu items.

I like the Creamery at Paint Creek Cider Mill, especially since this is a very wealthy part of town.
Creamery is a very popular name and obviously legal research would have to be done prior to this decision.

    Any other comments or suggestions?
