Need A Slogan For Advertising

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
My brother-in-law (male) and I (female) are teaming up in beach, ocean, waterfront real estate- condos, homes, leasing, sales. Our last name is White. We need a classy, catchy slogan to help people remember and call us.

    Dear whitel,

You might THINK you need a classy, catchy name but you don't.

No one is looking for classy and catchy, and besides, "catchy is not
    a selling strategy™"

When people are shopping for real estate they want a home, or a vacation place, or a beach front view, or whatever it is that they are looking for but I doubt very much that classy and catchy are at the top of anyone's list.

    It just doesn't happen.

Tell people who you are, what you offer, where you offer it, and what they need to do next in order to take advantage of what it is you're offering.

As a name, the following clearly tells the people that are looking for the things you're offering WHO YOU ARE, WHAT YOU OFFER, and WHERE you offer it:

White and White: North Carolina's Premier Beachfront Real Estate

When it comes to class, make your service classy, make your follow up second to none, make your presentation and staging the best there is in your region because these are things people can use and remember: they impart value. A classy name might be nice to remember but it's questionable as to how much clout it has when compared to stellar service and attention to detail.

I hope this helps. Good luck to you.

I agree with Gary somewhat...you need to establish your ethos and you as a product need to be good and in real estate business you need to foster trust. Its the most important component. Hence a name is damn important place to start with.

    Maybe this would help:

    Whiteland Beaches

    White waves

    Bluesea housing

    White estate inc

    Beach estate

    White waterfront

As for the tagline"Helping you discover your dream home"

I agree with Gary and karashe08: You don't need (and shouldn't want) a catchy slogan (or name). From my perspective you don't even want to use a play on words with "White" because you want the focus to be not on your name, but on the unique positioning benefit you'll deliver for your clients.

Give them a reason to call you ... not a catchy name or slogan. Your prospective clients don't really care what your name is. They care that you can sell/lease their property or help them find the home they want (and can afford).
