Looking To Rename Charity Golf Event

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I work at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin located in Milwaukee, WI and am looking to find ideas on renaming our annual golf event. The event used to be called Skip Kendall Pro-Am Fore Kids until 2009 when we changed the name to Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Pro-Am Fore Kids due to the fact that it was no longer hosted by Skip Kendall. We are looking for a new and different name for the event this year. We would like to tie in the idea that this is benefiting the kids at the hospital somehow. Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!

    Jack & Jill Pro-Am

The term "Jack & Jill" is used in golf and is essentially just another word for "co-ed." A Jack and Jill golf tournament is one is which men and women are paired together. They usually involve one man and one woman pairing up to form a 2-person team.

Not sure if you would want to change the format of your event to match the name...but it might be a nice way to introduce a new name and something fresh and new as you inidcated you want.

The main thought behind this suggestion is that "Jack & Jill" is a childrens story and very much tied to children. In the story "Jack fell down and broke his crown" which ties into the hospital.

Just my contribution to the brainstorming.....
    Good luck!!

That sounds like a really good idea...not sure if we would do the co-ed thing or not, but i will definitely discuss this idea with my manager. Thank you for the input!

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin All Dimples Pro-Am Golf Tournament (referring to the dimples of a child and a golf ball)

Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Pro-Am Scramble For Kids (referring to a type of tournament)

Why not simply: Children's Hospital of Wisconsin Golf Benefit?
