Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I am in the process of creating a cross-border structured networking group and I am looking for a creative to the point name.

The group will cover the border area of Northern Ireland and Ireland.

Thank you!

    Dear info,

Having significant ties to Ireland (I'm an Irish citizen) and on both sides of the line I understand how tricky this naming issue might be, or how tricky it might be seen.

Will this be business-related networking? Religious? Educational?
Within a certain age group? Business owners? A specific group of business or trades people? The more information to support and flesh out your group and its structure the better.

I'm sure we'd all appreciate more detail. Could you fill in some blanks for us? That'd be grand. Thank you.

Thank you for your reply Gary!

This will be a business focused networking group for business owners and key players within businesses. It will not be limited to any particular type of businesses.

It will cover the are areas of Letterkenny, Derry/Londonderry and Strabane. The plan is that it will meet every fortnight rotating between the 3 main areas.

It is hoped that members will get to know more about each others businesses while at the same time organising information sessions at the request of the members.

    Does that help?

Thanks again for your response Gary!

Thank you for your ideas Jay and Gary!

I think for political reasons I will need to avoid using Ireland/Irish in the name... But you are definitely getting my brain in gear!

    Hi Folks!

I am still looking for more ideas and thought it might be an idea to try and share a few more of thoughts:

The group is cross-border but the model could be used along any border
The group is about sharing ideas and passing business to each other
The group will probably meet every two weeks for breakfast
The name should not be geographical

I would appreciate any more ideas that are out there and thank you to all those who have helped so far.

    Kindest regards,

    Stephen

Thank you for your responses. It would appears we may have settled on Business IN-Action.
