Home Cooked Meals For Working Parents Or Singles

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
My daughter in law and I are starting a catering business which is basically providing evening meals, either by the plate, or in bulk for working moms, dads, single people, elderly, etc. We will either deliver or they can pick up. They will be nutritious home cooked meals. We live in a small town near 3 major cities and most people communte to work, therefore the need for our business. We are trying to think of a catchy name and/or phrase to go with our business...also a logo will come later. Thank you !

What a cool concept! I wish you were near me, I could sure use it and I'm actually kinda hungry right now. :)

Everyone cares about nutrition and they talk about it all the time, but I think people really care more about getting a decent meal on the table really fast, and for the least effort and money, at least this holds true for all of the two-worker families that I know.

I really like Phil's "Meals-to-Go" although the "To-Go" part usually implies the person has to pick it up.

    Also consider:

** Yummy Meals in an Instant

** Home Cooked Meals Without the Hassle

** Great Meals Delivered to You

    ** Dial-a-Dinner

** From Our Kitchen to Your Table

Two other suggestions. Offer a special menu with low-cal or healthy items for those on a weight-loss program and advertise the low calorie and fat content. Also consider having some instant-meals that keep waiting. You could promise a full meal in 15 minutes. In our busy house we sometimes get held up at work unexpectedly and then want something really fast (Dominos had a lot of success with their 30 minute guarantee). You could also tie into your working mobile customers who will want to order while commuting.

    Best of Luck, JohnnyB.
