Need A Name And Tagline For A Soap Company.

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hello,
I have been thinking about starting my own soap company and have finally decided to do so online. I make glycerin soap and use very mild clean citrus scents to appeal to both men and women. I am looking for a catchy name and tagline for my company. I had a couple of names that I liked, ex: dirt, soap box, but sadly both were taken. I look forward to the suggestions.

Before you go too far down the naming road, you might want to consider your marketing and business plans. How are people going to learn about your online store? What is it you want them to know about you? Why might they want to purchase your soap? And who are these potential customers anyway? Where do they live? What kind of soap are they using now? What will get them to change their purchase habits?

Like David R (drsc) I spent some time in the trenches at P&G too, and I know how competitive the bar soap market is. If you don't have a strong marketing plan that makes good business sense, you'll probably end up frustrated. Of course, it depends on what your goals are for the business. All the more reason to have a written business plan -- for yourself and to make sure you've thought through exactly what will be required -- before you start spending time, energy and money creating a business.
