Please Help, I'm a breast cancer survivor and health care professional who's starting a health advocate/motivational company and need a good name ASAP. (My original thought was Empowerment Enterprises but is in use in my area) THANKS

    Who are you targeting - individuals, businesses?
    Where are you located?
    What services are you planning to offer (specifically)?

    People aren't usually looking for motivational speakers (unless for keynotes) nor health advocates (unless you've got experience navigating through the maze of choices, tests and the professional credentials to protect you liability-wise).

    I admire your courage and your desire to give back and help others. I think is was Lance Armstrong who coined the phrase, "the obligation of the cured." Either way, bless you.

    Jay's questions are critical if we're going to come up with a good name for you.

    Who is your primary target audience? What important and unique benefit will you promise (and deliver to) them? What do you want the name to communicate?

    How will you know when the right name shows up? If we submit a dozen good names, how will you pick a winner? If we know the selection criteria in advance, there's a much better chance we can be of real help.

    Also, if you can give us some sense of your marketing plan -- How will your target audience learn about you? -- it will help us understand the context of the name much better.

    And, if this is really important to you, you probably need more than we're going to be able to give you here. You might want to post a project in the "Hire an Expert" section (see the column at the right side of this page), or check out the credentials of the top experts here and contact the one(s) you think might be best suited to address your issue. Most of the experts here would be happy to provide custom consulting if you need it.

    Thanks to all! I found this info to be a great help and plan to use it while using my non-profit org/business for targeting churches,schools and mainly girls groups on the importance of disease prevention , health and surviving against the odds. I am a R.N.onc and will indeed look/research any liability issues assocciated with such.
