I manage a general insurance agency. Since its inception, the main source of business is from in-house support i.e. related companies within the Group.

This year on, the direction is to focus on creating public awareness of the insurance services that this agency provides, direct attention to the individual consumer and increase sales volume.

I need a relevant tag line to be included in our advertising and promotion brochures, etc.

    OK. So who are your ideal clients? Where do they live? What are their hot buttons? Do they need to understand the need for insurance, or just trying to decide where to purchase? What are their most important and pressing unmet needs when it comes to insurance?

    The more you can tell us about your primary target audience the better able we will be to come up with a winning tagline for you.

    What makes you unique? Why should they buy from you? What would your best customers say about you if we asked them? Who is your competition? What are their strengths/weaknesses? Have you done a SWOT analysis?

    The more of this information you give, the better able we'll be to deliver for you. And then think about how you'll judge our suggestions. If we come up with a dozen good taglines, how will you decide which one to use? What are the criteria for picking the winner? If we know that, there's a much better chance we can succeed on the first try.

    We specialise in motor insurance considering the Group's core business. Target market is the individual consumer from all walks since almost every home has at least 2 vehicles. The objective besides increasing premium production is also to increase our database for cross selling of other products distributed by the Group.
