I Am Looking For Help With A Name For My Business?

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I do private parties, I bartend, decorate, clean up, basically whatever the party thrower needs. I also make custom cakes which are very intricate and delicious. I am trying to come up with a name that will allow me to let people know what my service is without making it sound like I am a party planner. Any ideas?
My name is Kris, all I have come up with so far is :
Kris's Celebrations
Kris etc.

Thank you kindly,
Kris

You've come to the right place, Kris.

It sounds like you make parties better in some way. The challenge is figuring out what that way is, and what's most important to your target audience. Then we can express that as a benefit to your primary target audience in the words that will really appeal to their emotions.

So let's start with a clear definition of your primary target audience. Who are they? Where do they live? How will they find out about you? What is the main itch of theirs that you scratch?

If you don't know this now, perhaps it would make sense to talk with a dozen previous clients. Ask them why they hired you, what they liked about your services, what you might do to improve, how they made the decision to hire you, where they first heard about what you do, etc.

Once we have some of this information we can use it to come up with a great name for your business.

Thanks for stopping in. Let's make this work for you!

    Kris,
I know what you're saying but "party planner" is a term people know. You don't want to have to educate people too much. A tagline helps you define what you do that makes you different. Well, enough to keep them interested.

Michael has given you wise advice. Try to drill deeper to better understand why people hire you. Until then, here are a few names to play with:
