Name Of An Internal Management Newsletter

Posted by Anonymous on 125 Points
I'm desperately trying to come up with a name of our new management newsletter. It's being introduced to share management tips and ideas on leadership, customer service, time management, dealing with difficult staff issues, legislation updates and other staff related stuff.

We work in the hospitality industry in a club/pub/casino type of place, so we're dealing with the community on a daily basis.

Any ideas?

I'm open to the tone... serious or funny, offbeat or direct. The group is mixed evenly male/female, average age is probably mid 40's, and they all have a pretty good sense of humour and can take a joke. They get on well as a group, but I don't know that they could be called a team.. yet!

The managers have been in their roles for a number of years but their skill levels have never been tested because they were never allowed to be decision makers in the past.

New Senior Management is trying to upskill and re-engergise them, and most of all, get them to all act consistently when implementing company policy.

Assuming humor is indeed in the cards, and playing off the industry:

The Daily (Weekly?) Bar Tender (everyone knows if you want advice, you ask the bar tender, right? I'd create a Q&A column from a generic (or rotating??) "bar tender" where staff get to ask their "secretest" management questions and they'll get frank advice).

The Well (as in: drink from the..., belly up to the...)

    The Daily Dice

    The Weekly Vice

Or the more staid: The Manager Minute; The Update, The Source...

    Good luck! Sounds fun.

Since its all fun we are refering to, and this group can take humour, can we move away from the regular?
