New Beauty Pageant Needs Original Tagline

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
The Miss Westchester Pageants, Miss Westchester and Miss Westchester Teen, will be unofficial preliminary competitions for the Miss New York USA and Miss New York Teen USA Pageants. (NY is one of the states that doesn't sanction preliminaries but is thrilled to take the pre-screened and pre-paid delegates for their pageants.) Our contestants will be judged in swimsuit, evening gown, interview and community service. They will be smart and beautiful. I came up with "Smart. Beautiful. YOU!" with a photo of the crown, sash and rose bouquet. I also added on the brochure "Will YOU Wear the Crown?" Help please -- thank you!

I'm not happy with what I came up with and I'm hoping to make it better. I probably should have mentioned our logo is MissWestchester (one word) Pageants -- the "i" is dotted with a star, Miss is in red, Westchester is in blue and Pageants is in silver. The beauty pageant is quintessentially an American institution and since 9/11 patriotism is on the upswing so, modeling on the iconic Uncle Sam poster, I capitalized "YOU" using the exclamation point. "Will You Wear the Crown" wasn't meant to be a tagline, but the attention getter for the back of the brochure -- I included that as an FYI. Thanks!

Thank you, Messrs. Grisolia and Hamilton-Roth for your input. I will go ahead and work with the tag line and attention-getter that I already have.
Mr. Grisolia, I hope the young women will "get" the Uncle Sam reference in the capitalized "YOU!"
Mr. Hamilton-Roth, I do like what you offered but it doesn't quite work for us.
    Thank you again,
    Miss Westchester Pageants
