Sports-themed Title Needed For Benefit Dinner!

Posted by hcymca6 on 250 Points
I am planning a benefit dinner for a non-profit organization. I'm hoping to secure a college football or basketball coach or an NFL player. I'm trying to come up with the event plan to present as a proposal. But I'm having a tough time coming up with a name for the dinner. The dinner will be at a country club and will only be open to those purchasing the more expensive tickets, yet it will be a more casual speaking engagement for our guest. Kind of a 'behind the scenes' or 'unplugged.' I also want to use the guest's name in the title (for example, Limpscomb University is inviting top donors to an exclusive dinner featuring "Tim Tebow Unplugged."

Any ideas are appreciated! I'm toting with some of my own and some colleagues are bouncing their ideas off me as well. We've just been unable to find THE one!

The speech will be something like "YMCA Open Doors Benefit." The dinner, however, will be seperate from the speech ~ seperate location, more expensive tickets, etc. So I just need to call the dinner something different from the speech. The dinner will be more one on one with the guest.

Proposals will be going to a NFL player, a top college basketball coach, and two college football coaches.

    thanks for the help!

So the event benefits the YMCA?

Call it the Insider Club Event?
    Platinum Club
    Platinum Member Dinner Event
    Up Close & Personal
    Platinum Member Meet & Greet
    Insider Meet & Greet

The benefit is for the YMCA (and guest's charity/foundation). I just used Lipscomb as an example ~ they already have a fundraiser planned featuring Tim Tebow. It's called "An Evening of Excellence." And the exclusive dinner is called "Tim Tebow Unplugged."

What I would like to do is have the dinner for those who will be paying, say $150 for a ticket (they will get to have dinner with the guest of honor, as well as a ticket to the speech). It's not an appreciation dinner; it's a dinner/speech in addition to our annual fundraising campaign (currently we are only at 65% of our goal).

The event title I am toying with is, "YMCA Open Doors Benefit featuring........(insert name of guest speaker)." And I just need something else to call the dinner which will feature dinner with the guest of honor ~ something to attract the bigger donors.

Hope I've explained it a little better :)
