Digestive Aid Tagline

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi all. I'd like a quirky/funny tagline that conveys attitude. The product is a nutritional supplement (Over the counter) that is made from natural products (this is an ayurvedic product - an Indian form of medicine). The benefits of this product are as follows - Reduces discomfort due to gas, makes you feel lighter, improves overall immunity PLUS it tastes great! Any/all quixotic taglines are welcome. This is for a newspaper ad and the idea is for people to do a double-take after reading the tag-line instead of just treating it as another ad.

Who is the target audience? Where do they live? What sets them apart from the "non-target audience?" What are their needs, values, attitudes, habits, practices? Demographics? Psychographics?

What's the call to action? Where can they get this product? Does it have a name that we can play off? (Example: Beano says there will "BE NO gas," and has the added nuance of the word BEAN in its name, etc.)

What makes this different from, and better than, other products that provide the same/similar benefits? Why should someone buy this product instead of Beano or Gasex, for example?

Since this is for a newspaper ad, you really should have the advertising -- including the tagline -- developed by a creative team that includes both a copywriter and an art director. You want the words and pictures to fit together and communicate a single-minded benefit. Trying to slap a tagline on a generic picture isn't likely to make for very effective advertising.

Dear mgoodman. Thanks for the response. The target audience is essentially anyone who is having digestive problems. The name of the product is Nutritone. The name of the company is Jammi. The non-target audience would probably be people who want to prevent such digestive problems. The initial newspaper insertion will run in the south Indian city of Chennai.

Yes, I have an excellent creative person working on the concept and artwork, but I am looking for a tagline independent of what he comes up with.

The USP's of this product are that it has no side-effects, it helps get rid of gas, is a great help for anoxeric patients, the digestive is non-enzymatic, and has rare ingredients like saffron and honey.
