I Need Tagline Ideas...business Name Is Eclipse

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hey all,

First thanks for taking the time to help me out.

I am opening a company who offers stage supplies to local theatres. We specialize in lighting supply but we also sell other supply such as cable, tape, etc.

Company Name: Eclipse Stage Supply

About Us: We are based out of Orlando, Florida, which has a large entertainment industry. Most of the suppliers of stage equipment are huge and have clients like Disney, Cirque du Soleil, The Super Bowl, etc. Our target market is local theatres, who, because they are'nt as big as these other productions, often get neglected by the supply companies.

Value Proposition: we are small enough to know each of our clients names, to get them a specific item if they need it in a rush (which is often), and deliver the items personally to their doorstep.

I am having some difficulty coming up with a tag-line. I would prefer something that plays off the eclipse name and that we are a one stop shop for all their needs.

One tagline I've played w/ is "We've got you covered"

Thanks again for your help.

As you can tell from the suggestions from Phil and Jay, it's probably not a great idea to "play off the 'eclipse' name." Doing so runs the risk of being too cute and less direct/relevant. (Phil and Jay are true professionals at this, and I'm not at all surprised they are steering clear of "eclipse.")

Your tagline should communicate the unique and important benefit of dealing with your company ... which you described very well. When you get wrapped up in trying to make "Eclipse" sound like it actually means something to your customers, you run the risk of undermining what you are trying to do -- communicate an important benefit that makes you different from, and better than, the other alternatives (i.e., your competition) for addressing the needs of your target audience.

You all bring up good points.

Phil's post helped me realize exactly what it is I would like to communicate.

    1) The we are the complete source.
    2) The personable aspect of the brand.

Here are some other taglines I came up with. I would love to hear your thoughts.

    -Better service, less hassle
-Your complete source, without the hassle
    -We Deliver

if you were to use eclipse you might say, "eclipsing the competition"

"Our Service won't make you nervous"
"Helping our community one show at a time"
