Tagline For Birthday, Wedding & Event Planning

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I need help with a tagline for a event planning company.

First, the name of my company is VIOLET Entertainment.
The corporate identity color is Violet for background and Gold for the logo..
I used Classical-Victorian design style on my Corporate ID..
I do weddings (40%), birthdays (40%), and also corporate events (20%). I hope it will evolve into a premier company for unique, individualized, and thoughtful corporate and personal events/celebrations as well as small business marketing solutions.

My market has three sectors, individuals, start-up/small businesses, and groups/organizations. My main focus will be wedding & private party, promotions, and special events.

I will do marketing and event promotions for small businesses (do-it-yourself marketing plans, promotions, grand openings, etc.). I will partner with the business, I will work with the owner to develop unique marketing strategies, and assist and advise the owner of the start-up in implementing the plan themselves.

For individuals, I will plan, coordinate, stage, and make any personal event or celebration (birthdays, promotions, weddings). My focus in this market are working, career women between the ages of 26-40, as well as men who are romantically challenged, envolved serious relationships who may need some help staging an engagement, gift selection and presentation, or simply a special romantic evening (Valentine's day, birthdays, ect) for that speical someone.

Groups--my main focus in this area is to create events, almost in the sense of a party promoter, creating events around holidays and themes for the public to enjoy, community events, and children's activities. This is a much broader focus and can range from edutainment activities and workshops or singles events targeted to engage the general public.

The company will be located in Perth, Western Australia.

The tagline should tells that every event is unique, special, and of course, Luxurious.
I ever created once..
Versatile Idea Of Luxury Entertainment Taste, which is the acronym of VIOLET itself, but i thought that it wasn't bite...:)

Everyone should feel that their event was meticulously planned down to every detail and that their is no event better than theirs...
In addition the tagline should have a feel of affordable elegance or that the price is worth it, feel the luxurious. Every client should feel as if they are my king.

I would like a tag line that reflects that the unique quality, individuality, and special emphasis that will go into making each event special & luxurious. I like a unique & creative words to increase brand awareness..

Please help me figure out how develop an image for this new company.

Thanks A Lot...

If you are married to the name "Violet Entertainment" then you REALLY need for your tagline to just tell folks what you do and who your target audience is -- very clearly, no cute stuff or acronyms.

"Violet Entertainment" (alone) could be a band, a DJ, a magician, or almost anything else that's entertaining or amusing. There's not much information in "violet" other than the color or the flower.

You provided us with some solid information about your target audiences, but unfortunately the breadth of the audience makes it difficult to come up with a tagline that is specific to anyone without excluding everyone else. That's a problem from a communication standpoint. If we stay general enough to cover everyone, then nobody will really know if you are the right company for them.

Suggest you reconsider the scope of your business initially. You can still DO everything and serve all those audiences, but you will probably do better if you position yourself as being expert in just a narrow niche. Be THE wedding specialist, or perhaps a SPECIAL EVENT specialist. At least that will give you a focus, rather than a collection.

As Michael correctly notes, your 3 audiences (weddings, birthdays, and corporate events) have different needs. They all want a party/event, but how you deal with each is different. And therefore, you need different messages to convey what the key benefit to working with you is. Weddings is about "special days" for two people. Birthdays is a "special day" for one person. And corporate events is a "group experience".

You've done a good job identifying the needs of the various groups you're targeting. Now, specialize in one of them. What group is likely to have the largest budget and/or highest need for your unique skills (and has the lowest competition)? That's your niche. Become the area's go-to person for this need and focus your marketing message on this.

    Thanks for d suggestion, pals....

@Karen : thanks 4 help...ummm...maybe i'll focusing on wedding and birthday...and for the acronym, i just try to make something different and unique...:)

    @mgoodman , PhilGrisolia , and Jay Hamilton :
    Thanks....
for d first, i called it "entertainment" because it's not just about event producing and organizing, but we can provide and arrange anything related with "entertainment", and we create something to entertain, something new, unique, for example, we make a party concept, opening procession, etc..
For the target audience, i will probably do the wedding and birthday..
And for "violet" itself, yeahh..i chose because of the color, and the philosophy of violet, spiritual, lux, and glamour...so when d first time people hearing "violet entertainment", they'll imagine something "velvet", lux, and glamour...
Just for info, actually i was in same business for 10 years, as an event organizer's assistant manager, and that's the percentages for this 10 years (real numbers), and many people known me in this scope (wedding&birthday)..
now i build my own company and i want to expand my scope of business...
    Hmmmm...i still confuse...:(

Since its a new company, and since you do not want to make a mistake why don't you shuffle a lil here and there...

Like the name remains, but should reflect more of what you do..ie events

    VIOLET EVENTS

And the tagline could either be a creative one or a segment descriptor
