Event Name And Tagline Required - Fundraising

Posted by allureint on 500 Points
Hi All.

Event currently named "Million steps for Animal Rights" not sure that I really like the name and def need a tagline.

The Animal Saviors Awareness Campaign is dedicated to stop more than 2,000,000 cats, dogs and other animals being brutally and callously skinned alive in China every year.
Further information on the campaign can be obtained from the website which is www.animalsaviors.org Warning though on the video and picture content - it is horrific!

The campaign director (who is in his 70's) is planning a 300 km trek ( in Australia) most of which will be undertaken on foot, including some rock climbs and the odd swim where there is no walking access. Supporters can join and leave the event at any point along the way, a collective effort culminating in the million steps. The event aims to raise awareness, drive traffic to the website, sign petitions and hopefully raise some funds to be allocated towards testing of mislabeled fur products, which in itself will create further awareness as most people would be horrified to know that the item they bought which they think is made of faux fur is possibly dog or cat fur, the testing will prove the origin of species. I have suggested they look to sell naming rights for the event but I think the event name needs to be "punchier" . Any thoughts and suggestions also suggestions to maximise the impact of the event would be most welcome. Thank you as always.

I like the "Million Steps" part of the name, but the "Animal Rights" is vague. The name doesn't describe if you're doing advocacy, politics, awareness, or actual intervention.

Consider: A Million Steps Closer To Saving Animals - which mentions the key benefit (saving animals) and the 1,000,000.

    "One Step at a Time"
"Using two feet to save our four legged friends"

"Walk to Stop the Fur Trade"
"saving animals who cannot save themselves"

    Hi All,

Thank you for some great suggestions, they are all being passed onto the campaign director and awaiting his feedback, I assume this will take a few days.

Will update further as soon as I am able.

    Kind Regards

I think you're on the right track this would be great on a T-shirt - on the back shirt it could say " you saved my skin" since it's to stomp out illegal fur trade - so every t-shirt you sale one animal could be saved - so much could be done with this - I wish you so much luck.

I Walked THE LINE. Will You?
... It's what makes Us Human.

That's the fine 'line' between use and abuse... it should encourage dialogue and subsequently awareness of your noble cause.

    HI All,

Thank you for your wonderful input. The committee was locked on the 3 above, so have awarded to all 3. I do hope this is ok.

    Kind Regards
