Tagline For A Information Technology Consulting Co

Posted by imchrisd on 125 Points
I'm looking for a good tag-line for my IT Consulting Business called CDA (Christopher Diamond & Associates). We specialize in computer, server, & network - consulting, support & security. We work with business with 1 to 100 computers. I want to stress that we are Pros with B2B experience (I have contracted with companies such as Disney, DirecTV, Ernst & Young, etc.) and not just a guy who fixes his friend and family's computers.

I was thinking of something like:
"Dump the Geek, Go with the Pros" or
"The Business 2 Business Tech Pros"

But it's not quite there yet. Also, I used to say we were IT Consultants but most people didn't understand what that entailed so now I say we are Computer Consultants.

Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the reply Phil.

I have CDA on all of my marketing materials just because I thought that was easier to remember and a little less pretentious than Christopher Diamond & Associates. I've registered the domain B2BTechPros as was going to change to that but all my current clients know my business as CDA. Maybe I should go with CDA Tech Pros?

"Businesses with 1-100 computers" is a huge range. Phil's suggestion is great if you're targeting corporations, but it sounds like you're really looking to target smaller businesses. The word "corporate" may cause people to think you're more expensive, more formal, etc. But it sounds like you want to leverage your past experience to showcase your depth of experience.

Who is your ideal customer? Would you rather be helping micro-businesses (1-6 people) or SMBs? While what you do is virtually identical, your use different language to communicate the benefit you offer (the different audiences have different concerns).

I did work with major corporations while I was in Los Angeles but now I'm in Arizona and marketing to smaller businesses.

So I guess what I really want to stress is that we bring corporate experience to smaller businesses. I get a lot of complaints from my clients that they hired someone who said that they knew what they were doing but didn't do a good job. I wish to differentiate by business from those and when they hire us that are getting someone with real world business experience and follow best practices.

That's the message I wish to convey but maybe something shorter and catchy? Is some of the jobs I had I was always know as the 'IT Guy' or 'Computer Guy'. So maybe something in the area of 'Your IT guys' or 'Your Company's Computer Guy'?
