Product Catagory Titles/names Needed For Online Gift Shop

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
I need opinions regarding the titles or names of each product catagory for my online gift shop. I was going to use phrases such as: Garden Lovers, Chocolate Lovers, Jewelry Lovers, Pet Lovers, etc ... Should I be more creative, or boring and direct (i.e. Chocolate, Jewelry, Pets, etc.)?
Will appreciate other suggestions as well. The name of my store is "The Ruffled Ribbon".
Thanks in advance for all responses.

"Lovers" is a fine add-on, but if you repeat it for every category, you'll be diminishing its "special-ness". Likewise "Love My ...." could be used, but with the same caveat - don't overuse it.

Scrap the "cute" titles for the categories. Just use the descriptive word.

The place for emotional benefits is in your tagline, or in the headline copy.

Thanks for your quick responses. I think I'm hearing maybe, with moderation, and No! I do like, "Love My", but will wait to see how many more responses I get. I think I'll make my decision based on how many more no's or maybe's I get. If the majority of responders think I should forget the "cute" titles. I will. I hope others respond.

After giving this much thought (and due to the lack of additional responses), I think I'll do both. I'll forgo most of the cutesy titles. However, how can anyone resist something entitled Ooh, Chocolate! Okay, maybe that's a little korny, and possibly professionally unappealing. I don't know, I'm not a marketing professional which is why I appreciate this site, and all who have responded to my posts.
