Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
We are a Horse Racing Track in southern California and we are creating a marketing campaign emphasizing the track as a "Vegas Experience". We are having trouble coming up with a tagline that gets this message across while still making it seem classy. We would love to hear any ideas that you have!!! Thanks

Besides the adrenalin rush of gambling on a race, what's the connection between your track and the "Vegas experience"? Is there pageantry? Luxury? Family entertainment? Opulence?

Why have you selected "Vegas experience" as your campaign headline? Have you talked with your best customers and learned that's what they seek? Or did someone just come up with the idea and decree that it's the right way to go?

If you really did get valid input from your primary target audience, then the answer to your tagline question is undoubtedly in the transcripts from your qualitative research.

If you did NOT get input from your primary target audience, then that's the place to start. You might come up with a great tagline only to find that the whole campaign was ill-conceived. Or you might find that you've accidentally landed on the perfect campaign idea, and the best expression (for your tagline) is precisely the phrase you've used, "A Vegas Experience."

What you may want to do, though, is define what it is about the horse racing track that makes it like a Vegas experience? Lots of hotels? Great shows with big names? Slot machines everywhere? An opportunity to lose a lot of money? Other?
