Need A Catchy Name And Tagline For A Startup

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
Hi,
I am starting this concept that address some issues in an unorganized residential real estate market in my country (india). My service involves a design and build approach that saves buyers a lot of money. Working on a name & tagline that spells real estate, creativity, innovation, real savings, organized approach to common real estate problems facing real buyers. Please share your thoughts. Thank you in advance.

real estate, creativity, innovations, saving, organised approach .. thats a mouthful from a name and line..u need to be more focussed...all this can be built via ur communication but only the most relevant should be tackled by name n line..so i guess filter it and then u could probably have some names..just my view

EstateStream - Expect more from real estate.

BeyondEstate - Think further. See Further.

Here's just a few things of the top of my head.
But as arun.ahuja mentioned. You need to narrow your focus down. It needs a Single Minded Promise for your customers. Identify what is the most important feature you want to convey to them. And then build the other in as secondary benefits.
If you can narrow down your focus we can help you come up with a better name and tagline.

If you find this useful there is a site that will be launched soon that actually helps people understand branding more. It covers issues such as brand naming, brand positioning, customer profiling, briefing, etc. These are all general topics, but the benefit is that it is practical. It is designed for working professionals. So it's short, interactive and gives you downloads afterwards. Have a look at www.pitstopbranding.com

It sounds like you're focusing on helping people create/build a custom home, rather than selling existing homes.

Also, what type of home (located where? high-end/low-end/mid-range price? any environmental benefit?)
In addition to saving money, will the home be built faster? safer? larger?

Thanks a bunch for your responses. Really appreciate it. As Jay rightfully pointed out, I am trying to focus on contract constructions (design & build) and I strongly feel its cheaper without compromising on quality.
@Jay, you are absolutely right in saying custom homes. I'm trying to focus on mid-income group looking for homes in surburban areas. As for quality, safety there would be no compromises made in that department.
    @David, thanks a bunch.
@Arun, you are right, I guess I need to have a narrower focus. To filter the main objectives, it should revolve around affordable, quality solutions to residential building (real estate) constructions.
    Hope i make sense.

    Hi David,
Do you have any other ideas? a single feature is a model built around contract construction approach which promises quality at a cheaper price tag.

    Sorry, i'm a little confused.

Does your company actually build the house? Or are you more like an architectural firm that design's the concepts for the houses? At first i kind of thought you were a real estate agencie.

But at the moment, i'm assuming you are more of the architectural firm that provides design concepts for building homes. Something like that.

So here's just another thought. If i'm correct with the assumption.

EverStream Solutions - Designing homes for everyday living

    Reason:
Firstly i'm assuming your concept is a pretty modern one that is contrasting the traditional methods. Thus a name EverStream doesn't give people the feeling of traditional methods.

Second, the use of "Stream" is because your company develops a concept taking into account every part of the design and building process. So it's maximising every part of the process rather than just part of the process.

Third, "Solutions" as mentioned is because i'm assuming you're company is providing the conceptual designs. But if you are selling it to home owners as well it can also work. Solutions for people who's looking for quality affordable homes. But the name EverStream might not fit.

Lastly, the tag line. It's a pretty straight line. As the name itself is slightly bent i feel the tag line should be straight. What it does is it clarifies what your business does (again based on my assumptions).

Overall it covers the modern feeling you want people to associate with your company, but at the same time a more humble feeling that they are not paying for the extra fancy bits of unnecessary add on's

I've split my reasoning up so it is easier for you to point out where i'm right and where i'm off the mark. So feel free to give me directions.
