Name For Child Abuse Program

Posted by Anonymous on 250 Points
What would be a "good" name for a facility whose purpose is to provide a child-sensitive system/team approach-response to child abuse cases, victims and families.
I would like the name to convey a sense of what the program is trying to provide (soothing, non-threatening, non-institutional environment), something that will be immediately identifiable to the community as "the place that compassionately cares for victims of child abuse."
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Is this business more therapeutic or investigatory?
    Where will it be located?
    A for-profit or non-profit business?

Any other details you can share would be appreciated.

    Jay,
This is a non-profit, government-based program that is totally grant funded even though this team approach is state law mandated. We have renovated a split level ranch house for the program which sits on a country road off "the main drag" in a rural county in upstate NY. It is a home-like (v. office) environment. The entire house is decorated in soft, muted earth tones for a soothing effect (v. bright, primary colors).

The concept is of a system response to child abuse, starting at the first report and running through investigation, prosecution and including all necessary services like therapy. We conduct child interviews at our site. We have the capability to do medical exams on site (not started yet) to avoid the hospital ER setting. We can counsel family members on site.
Hope this is helpful and hope that I am sending this properly. Not generally familar with blogging nor with this site.

    Karen,
See my response to Jay for answers to some of your questions. While nearby street names is a good idea, in this case, there really aren't any. Nor are there any nearby landmarks.
The cases we handle are primarily child sexual abuse and serious child physical abuse, including child deaths. Occasionally, we handle a kidnapping.
As for affiliations, I'm not sure what you mean. The "team" part of our program is made up of partner agencies from the fields of child protection, law enforcement, prosecution, victim advocacy, mental health, probation and public health.
